Fred Laurent Original 1970's Painting Signed - 'Ghost who fell in love' Part 7
This series of paintings were painted in 1975 by Fred Laurent (1922 - 1995) They were commissioned for a magazine and they are painted onto Frome water colour board using acrylic.
Fred Laurent was made famous in 1960 with his painting named ‘Period Beauty’ . His style and bold use of colours has influences of other trial blazers at that time, like J. H.Lynch.
I love the use of baby pinks and purples in this one, there is a softness which screams romance at you. Partnering this with a teak dark wood frame is going to throw you right back to the 1970’s. Or maybe just embrace the softness of this one and put it in a pink furry frame?
The painting is signed by the artist.
